national cement share company (ncsc) was established in november 2005 through a joint venture of east africa mining corporation, the federal government of ethiopia's privatization and public enterprises supervising agency and others. over the next few years, government shares were bought out by east african mining corporation. the company is located 515 kilometers from addis ababa, in dire dawa administrative region. the factory was the first cement plant in ethiopia, which was established in 1936 by italians. it was previously called 'dire dawa cement and lime factory.' after renovating the old factory, the company has boosted production capacity from 150 t/day to 400 t/day. a new plant was commissioned in 2012, currently producing 3,000 t/day. national cement share company is committed, at all levels of the organization, to total customer satisfaction. to meet this commitment, we provide products and services that fulfill customer expectations, and provide quality at levels greater than that available from any of our competitors. our quality management system is based on the international standard iso 9001:2008 requirements, and we are fully committed to continually improve the effectiveness of our system by means of regular top management reviews, internal audits, extensive trainings, and corrective & preventive action programs. mission to supply products that lead in quality, cost, and customer satisfaction through the integration of people, technology, and systems. vision to become the leading industrial group in the region by excelling in all sectors we operate in.
